1. use only light colors.

2. use only a light color flooring.

3. use a light colored ceiling.

4. white glossy paint will make the room brighter.

5. use a dim light to show different textures.

6. to make the room cozy, paint with pink, red, yellow combination and accent with blue green or blue gray.

7. Arrange your furniture along the walls and NOT in the middle of the room or away from walls. The latter arrangements will leave no free moving space in the room, and make it look and feel cramped and over stuffed!
